who I am

A citizen of this world who loves taking on new challenges.

I had the chance to live and work on 3 different continents. I am fluent (written and spoken) in French and English (French being my mother tongue) but I also speak very basic Vietnamese and understand a tiny bit of Spanish.

I am currently located in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and ready to work remotely or locally.

And now, the "classics" a CV always has: what I call the "personal woo hah". I enjoy multi cultural environment. I have a great sense of humour and can take jokes without firing up [but you got to let me retaliate]. I love SCUBA diving and had the chance to dive in some amazing spots. Asia, where I lived over 10 years, is an amazing place to be and visit. I love music and cinema [as in cinema and not just blockbuster movies].

what I do

what I use

As most newbies, I started my trade using the big names out there: Adobe Creative Suites. But like many of us, I got fed up with on going bugs, bloated app and useless updates. I now believe in having smaller but specialized tools that do the job well as opposed to the "one app fits all" approach. Which suits my needs. [ Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Adobe's tools are not good. I just mostly found my peace with others. ]

Here are the tools I mainly use for my day to day work but not limited to:

Atom

Gulp

Sketch

Chrome

DevTools

Git

Terminal

My Brain

But also, running various tasks with gulp.js and the like. As well as managing project using basecamp, freedcamp and the like.

what I did

During my career, I had the opportunity to work for various industries: health, fashion and retail, real estate (e.g. Savills), restaurant (e.g. Didier Corlou), education, chamber of commerce (e.g. EuroCham, CanCham), aerospace, industrial, embassies (e.g. Canadian and German Embassies) and NGO (e.g. United Nations). Here are some of the latest and favoured websites I have worked on:
Disclaimer: 1) Some websites are no longer maintained by me and may differed from the original design and set-up. 2) No computers were harmed during the making of these websites

There are a few more interesting projects I had the opportunity to work on but that unfortunately cannot be shown due to privacy requirements, such as an web base intranet for The United Nations in Vietnam
